Title: "Intifada Girl"

Comments:

May 19, 2001 in front of the Federal Building at 19000 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles there was a march and a rally commemorating the "Nakbah" (Catastrophe) of Palestine (May 15, 1948) where close to three-quarters of a million of Palestinian civilians where forced to leave their villages, homes and lands at Israeli gun point (according to the Palestinian side of the story). This Asian girl is holding a sign which reads "Intifada" - Uprising in Arabic.

The Israeli side of the story is that Arab military forces forced the villagers to leave in preparation for a total invasion and destruction of Israel.
